If you choose to have your software fees taken out of your refund, your refund will go through Green Dot Bank. Once you have selected to have your fees taken out of your refund, Green Dot Bank requires that an application be filled out during the filing process and agreed upon by you. You can choose to have your refund direct deposited into your checking or savings account.

Upon being agreed to, your application is sent to Green Dot Bank for review and processing. Once your application has been accepted and your refund is released by the IRS, your refund will be sent from the IRS, directly to Green Dot Bank and your fees will be deducted and the remainder of your refund will be direct deposited into the account you provided.
